150 words: The invisible power of decision making post crisis (1)
In no more than a 150 words:
The whole world is going through #covid19 crisis today, and probably the most economically vulnerable areas are countries who already suffer from poverty and war. If we look at the diagram below, we notice that decision making power is practiced on:1) Three scales; locally, nationally and globally.
2) Three spaces; behind closed doors where authorities make decisions, open doors where civil society is invited to participate by the authorities rules and social movements created by civil society.
If we look at the forms of power we have the obvious ones, the hidden ones behind closed doors and the invisible ones of citizens with lower voices; such as women and ethnic groups in some societies. Actually if we are going towards better green future with real sustainable development, then these invisible groups are a true key factor to achieve that.
